The First Nations Fisheries Council hosted a press conference at Fisheries and Oceans Canada Regional Headquarters on Thursday, December 16 to raise awareness about the lack of meaningful First Nation engagement in the development of the pacific Aquaculture Regulations and the lack of consultation with the reissuance of aquaculture licenses. The concerns expressed by First Nations are highlighted in the December 16 News Release as well as a brief interview with Chief Bob Chamberlin that aired on CKNW.
